CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR RETIREMENT !!
Let your journey to the “something else” begin….
You have worked long hours, grueling days, for weeks on end with no free time in sight, often spent more time here than at home… so much so, that I am certain along this journey you have been taking to reach this magnificent milestone you may have thought – “this day will never come”….. BUT HERE YOU ARE, YOUR HAVE MADE IT TO THE TOP…. YOUR VIEW OF RETIREMENT AWAITS YOU…The best part of this, is that YOU are the architect, the designer, the builder, the creator and the artist . You finally get the opportunity to sit back, close your eyes, envision your future without the constraints, blinders and financial obligations that come from running a business and supporting a family of five… pick up the brush or in your case the golf club and swing your way through the varying scenery each course may bring while you create the best years of your life… not only for you but for all those around you that love and support you and have been eagerly awaiting to spend more time with you.
You and Dad created something beautiful together. You created the backbone and foundation for our families bonds which continue to come full circle. With Derek being involved as the company’s financial advisor, Brandon offering guidance and support through his mastered skills at fitness and health , and Taylor through her innate ability to bring us all together while offering her insight and guidance on reaching goals and therapies to maintain and master them …. although we may not “work” together – we do…
We are there for one another, we will always support each other and we will continue to rely on each other .. we do this from the examples that were given to us over the years from you … hard work, dedication and perseverance will ultimately lead you to success in any path you may choose. Family comes first; despite any disagreements we may have. Trust, honesty and compassion creates bonds that are unbreakable over time or distance.
Willingness to take on responsibilities that maybe we don’t want to do, builds character. Not always getting recognition for one’s actions does not mean it was meaningless or had no value … these are just a few lessons that come to mind ..
Doug and Guy will forever be the foundation that glues Northeastern’s Walls together. Your legacy does live on through all of us. Your dedication to the business and all of our families has never gone unnoticed, maybe unspoken but never unnoticed.
Life is a journey not a destination. May you enjoy this next journey even more than the last.
